SmartSuite™ AI Business Development Lab Series

Labs I & II

Build Your Business-Ready Prompt + Context Brief

Learn how to give AI clear instructions and the business context it needs to produce more useful work. Labs I & II establish the foundation used throughout the SmartSuite™ Lab Series.

Required SmartSuite™ foundation: Every participant begins with Labs I & II before progressing to later SmartSuite™ Labs. Participants requesting an exception may be required to complete a SmartSuite™ readiness assessment.

Your Foundation

What You Build in Labs I & II

These two Labs work together. Lab I helps you improve the instructions you give AI. Lab II helps you give AI the business information it needs to understand what you are trying to accomplish.

Lab I

Build a Business-Ready AI Prompt

Move from casual prompting to structured business instructions.

Learn how to define what you want AI to do, communicate the purpose of the task, set useful boundaries, and review the response instead of accepting the first draft automatically.

What You Leave With

A clearly defined business task, a reusable SmartSuite™ business-ready prompt, and a reviewed AI response connected to your project.

Lab II

Create Your Business Context Brief

Give AI enough context to work with your business instead of guessing.

Organize the essential information AI needs to understand your business, audience, goal, offer or project, communication style, boundaries, and the action you want your audience to take.

What You Leave With

A reusable Business Context Brief that can support future prompts, projects, and later SmartSuite™ Labs.

Why These Two Labs Belong Together

A strong prompt can still produce weak work when AI does not understand the business behind the request. Labs I & II connect the instruction with the context so participants have a stronger foundation before moving into strategy and content development.

Labs I & II Outcome

Prompt + Context = A Stronger Starting Point

Your completed work becomes part of the foundation you carry forward into the next stage of the SmartSuite™ Lab Series.

The Labs I & II Experience

Learn It. Apply It. Leave With Something Useful.

Labs I & II are designed for active learning. The goal is not to memorize AI terminology. The goal is to understand the concepts well enough to use them on a real project and continue using what you build after the Lab.

Understand

Learn the Concept

Theresa Casanares explains the business purpose behind the work in clear, beginner-friendly language and demonstrates how the concept applies to practical AI use.

Apply

Work on Your Project

Use your own business, professional, educational, or community project so the work you complete is connected to something you actually want to develop.

Review

Evaluate What AI Produces

AI output is treated as a draft. Participants review the response, identify what needs improvement, and use human judgment before deciding what is ready to keep or use.

What to Expect During the Lab

SmartSuite™ Labs combine instruction with project work. You will be asked to think about your business or project, make decisions, interact with AI, review what it produces, and save the work that supports your next step.

  • Beginner-friendly explanations
  • Practical demonstrations
  • Hands-on project work
  • Opportunities to ask questions
  • Review before work is approved
  • Reusable assets to continue developing
You Do Not Need to Be an AI Expert

Labs I & II are the starting point for the SmartSuite™ Lab Series. Participants are expected to bring curiosity, a willingness to work on a real project, and a laptop. The Lab is designed to help you build the foundation rather than assume you already have it.

Prepare for Labs I & II

Come Ready to Work on Your Project

A little preparation helps you spend more of your Lab time building, testing, reviewing, and improving your work.

Equipment

Bring a Working Laptop

Bring a laptop and charger for the hands-on project work. A phone or tablet is not a practical substitute for completing the full Labs I & II experience.

Project

Bring Something Real to Work On

Choose a business, professional, educational, or community project you want to develop. Your project gives you something meaningful to use while building your prompt and Business Context Brief.

Business Information

Know the Basics of Your Project

Be prepared to think about your audience, goal, offer or project, communication style, important details, boundaries, and the action you want your audience to take.

AI Access

Be Ready to Use an AI Tool

You will use AI during the hands-on work. Make sure you can access the AI tool you plan to use before the Lab begins so setup does not take time away from your project.

After You Register
